The City of Brampton Ontario, one of the fastest growing cities in the Greater Toronto Area, recently received international attention, when the World Health Organization designated Brampton as a "INTERNATIONAL SAFE COMMUNITY."
Brampton is the first city in th GTA to receive this honour, and only 1 of 10 cities in North America.
This was achieved through over 150 community safety programs, working together across the city, to make Brampton one of the safest cities in the world!
An offical signing of this declaration took place on September 22nd, 2007, during the celebration of BRAMPTON DAY in historic Gage Park, witnessed by hundreds of Brampton residents who enjoyed saftey- themed and fun filled activities for the whole family.
